About

Our mission, team, and experience.

Our Mission

Our mission is to combine movement therapy with physical medicine to help you be beyond just “better,” and become even better than before your injury or setback. This isn’t about just getting out of pain. This is about learning how to care for and optimize your body system from the inside out.

Our Team

Co-Founders Lily Hoog-Fry, DC, RYT-e, CSCS and John Baker DC, CSCS, DNS-ET are dedicated professionals who combine decades of experience to deliver transformative and sustainable results. We understand how frustrating and difficult the journey to sustainable wellness can be, and we’re here to help you navigate it.

Meet Dr. Lily

Dr. Lily is a Chiropractic Physician driven to give people the high quality healthcare they deserve. She has been teaching yoga for over a decade and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
In pursuit of her mission, along with achieving honors in her doctorate program she has done over a thousand hours of mentorship and additional training in areas such as TMJ, foot & breathing disorders, external pelvic floor rehabilitation, developmental kinesiology & rehabilitation, DNS, visceral manipulation and nervous system regulation.

She is certified in the Webster Technique for pregnancy and pediatric care, Gait Happens Natural Foot Function and Network Spinal’s nervous system reorganizational healing.

She is a self-proclaimed nerd and dedicated forever learner who became a Chiropractor because she wants to tend to the instinctual wellness inside you, so you can live your best life.

When not caring for patients you can find her spending time in the ocean, lifting weights, making jewelry & clothes by hand, gardening, taking barefoot walks and spending time with her best friend & partner, Dr. John.

Meet Dr. John

Dr. John is a lifelong athlete, Chiropractic Physician and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) Exercise Trainer. John has built his practice around specializing in physical medicine, biomechanics and human performance.

Prior to getting his doctorate, Dr. John was (and continues to be) a strength and conditioning coach. John has experience working with a variety of athletes and every day people. Includes Olympic hopefuls, Professional, Collegiate, High School, Masters and Youth athletes from a variety of sports — surfing, swimming, water polo, football, basketball, baseball, soccer, golf, track and field, lacrosse, tennis, skeleton, skiing, snowboarding, climbing, martial arts, volleyball, powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, and physique.

Coaching is where Dr. John was able to fine tune and really immerse himself in his love for understanding the human body and how it moves, which is a passion that was started in his childhood.

Dr. John strives for unity and teamwork throughout the multiple disciplines that an individual may have supporting them, believing that when all coaches, support staff and practitioners are able to work together and collaborate there is a synergistic benefit for the athlete or patient.

Prior to coaching, Dr. John was an Ocean Lifeguard and EMT for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, working primarily in La Jolla, CA. Dr. John was a lifeguard for four years, two of which were while he was getting his first Bachelor’s Degree from Chapman University and also being the Director of Athletics of a Montessori school in Orange, CA.

Dr. John enjoys traveling for work, which as of late has been to continue to progress his knowledge and skills by taking continuing education coursework around the United States, receiving mentorship from some of the industry’s top professionals, and working with the WSL at contests.

During his free time, Dr. John enjoys being around water — swimming, paddling, surfing, sailing, and fishing — gardening and farming in his yard as he tries to live off the land, reading and spending time with his deeply loved partner, Dr. Lily.
